Dr. Meerdink and Sam Taylor attended the 2024 American Geophysical Union's annual conference in Washington, D.C. Dr. Meerdink presented in the Advancing Global Imaging Spectroscopy and Thermal Infrared MEasurements, Including Results from ECOSTRESS, EMIT, SBG, and Others oral session with the title, "Mapping Plant Invasions in the Everglades National Park Using NASA’s Hyperspectral EMIT Mission". Sam Taylor presented a poster in the Lakes and Inland Water Bodies poster session titled "Testing EnMAP, a hyperspectral satellite mission for chlorophyll-a prediction in an Iowan Lake". In addition, Dr. Meerdink co-authored a poster titled "The Edge of Space Academy: Recruitment of Diverse Students into Earth and Space Sciences".
