On October 18th, GSS department graduate students participated in the 3 Minute Thesis competition in the departmental colloquium. The first-place winner of this competition was Sam Taylor, the honorable mention winner was Victoria Harris, and the peoples' choice winner was Matthew Kucmanic. Congratulations, presenters! 

Sam's winning presentation was on his harmful algal bloom work in Big Spirit Lake, IA.
